There is a standard of care that is either not required by KTM NA or very poorly implemented. A dealer should either meet that standard or move on. BMW is way better when it comes to requiring dealers to meet the requirements of the job. Part of the problem may be that ten years ago KTM was 90% dirt only and 100% of the bikes had a carburetor.
I picked up the 2023 890 Adventure R from KTM HQ (400km round trip), rode it home to pack it for the Rallye and then rode it a further 700 kilometres to the start point at Lake Hume.
