Regardless, studies have demonstrated little to no effect from DHA alone on anxiety and depression. The same goes for EPA. The effects on anxiety and depression are seen in supplements containing 2:1 EPA to DHA. Who knows why. Theories abound. 2:1 EPA to DHA seems to be the best ratio for fish oil overall. It actually typically has MoRE omega 3-s although if you are deficient in the enzymes needed to process it then it wonβt work as well/at all. You can get capsules of flax oil, or just a bottle of oil. I usually recommend that they (oil and capsules) be kept in the fridge just like fish oils.
