It seems that the powertrain in 2014 and 2015 models of the Jeep Grand Cherokee is having issues. A signal in the crankshaft position sensor tends to fail, which could cause the engine to lose power or stall on the road. It also may affect the ability to restart the engine. Most of the 2014 early teething problems have probably already been repaired, instruments, wheel bearings, etc. V8s the water pump will probably have been replaced and almost due again. Expect exhaust manifolds to leak but it doesn't affect functionality, just sounds bad when cold.

I’m afraid it’ll be the same “we can’t duplicate the problem” answer and finally guesswork (fuel pump, then TIPM).
